This policy outlines the terms for cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds for boat transfers and national park entrance fees booked through BakoBoatTickets.com. This Cancellation & Refund Policy is a summary of our procedures. 1. Boat Transfer Tickets
All boat transfer bookings are strictly non-refundable. By completing your booking, you agree to the following terms regarding changes to your itinerary:
- Standard Rescheduling: You may request to reschedule your trip if the request is made 24 hours or more before your original booking time.
- Late Requests: Reschedule requests made less than 24 hours before the scheduled departure will not be accepted, and the ticket will be considered forfeited.
- No-Shows:
- If you arrive late and miss your slot, we will try to fit you into the next available shared boat.
- However, if there are no other groups to join that day, you must pay an additional RM150 at the Bako Terminal to take a Private Boat. Otherwise, your ticket will be forfeited without a refund.
2. Weather & Tide Disruptions (Force Majeure)
Boat operations are subject to the safety regulations of the Sarawak Rivers Board, weather conditions, and tidal levels.
- In the event of a cancellation by the boat operator due to safety, extreme weather, or sudden low tide, a reschedule will be issued.
- We will work with you to find the next safest available time slot or date.
- Note: Travelers are advised to maintain flexible schedules when visiting Bako National Park due to these natural factors.
3. National Park Entrance Fees
BakoBoatTickets.com facilitates the purchase of entrance permits on behalf of the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC).
- In accordance with SFC terms and conditions, all entrance fees are strictly non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-exchangeable once the transaction is complete.
4. How to Request a Reschedule
To request a change to your booking (at least 24 hours in advance), please contact our team via:

5. Limitation of Liability
BakoBoatTickets.com is not responsible for any incidental expenses or losses incurred due to delays or cancellations, including but not limited to flights, accommodation, or onward transport. We strongly recommend all travelers possess valid travel insurance.
