Borneo’s Oldest National Park

Why Travelers Love Bako

Established in 1957, Bako National Park is the oldest national park in Sarawak. Despite its relatively small size, it contains almost every type of vegetation found in Borneo.

The star of the show is undoubtedly the Proboscis Monkey, found only in Borneo. But the park offers much more: 16 color-coded jungle trails, bearded pigs roaming the beaches, and the iconic “Sea Stack” rock formations sculpted by centuries of waves.
